The key benefits of Single Sign-On (SSO)

Seamless user experience

Wave goodbye to forgotten usernames and passwords, as users are able to access the platform with just one set of credentials. With frictionless access to everything they need, end users can enjoy a quick, stress-free experience in just one click.

Lower costs for IT resources

Improve user management and reduce time spent on help desk calls by minimising the risk of forgotten passwords and password resets. In fact, SSO can reduce your login-related help tickets by as much as 75%, freeing up your IT team to focus on more strategic initiatives.

Enhanced system security

Single sign-on is also advantageous for your system security. With 61% of data breaches involving credentials, SSO reduces the security risk by eliminating the need for users to remember or reuse multiple passwords. Sensitive login credentials are verified by a trusted third party.

Boosted productivity

With hybrid working set-ups, or organisations who operate across multiple locations, access to working tools is more essential than ever. With single sign-on, users are able to access the platform as seamlessly as possible, losing no time to forgotten passwords or clumsy integrations.

What is Single Sign-On?

Single sign-on (SSO) allows users to log in to multiple platforms using just one set of credentials. Utilising a trusted third party to verify the credentials, SSO strengthens security, simplifies integrations and improves the user experience.

According to single sign-on experts, Okta, SSO makes it 50% faster for users to adopt, log in to and use their apps.

Enabling Single Sign-On (SSO)

Our single sign-on tool is implemented using SAML 2.0 and it’s W3C XML encrypted. This means that it’s compatible with all major systems including Active Directory, Azure AD, Okta, OneLogin, and Shibboleth, as well as any other SAML 2.0 based identity provider.

Set-up is quick and easy and can be configured to work with the multi-factor authentication tool you’re already using within your organisation. Our projects team will enable the feature for you so you can start to utilise the benefits of SSO as soon as possible.

“The clear UI, scalable structure, concise reporting, and completeness of the package along with its mobile integration and understanding of company structures made edays stand out from the competition. The price was right, and the system was perfect for our requirements. Gone are the paper forms, inaccurate reporting, and confusing hours spent rummaging through half dog-eaten paper trails. We now have an accessible, single-point-of-truth for all of our absences across the company. Managers can administer and oversee/audit absence much more thoroughly and responsively.”
