what is onboarding

Onboarding refers to the process of introducing a new employee into the organisation, helping them to get settled into their role. It involves administrative tasks such as adding a new employee to payroll, identifying their emergency contact details and ensuring they have access to any employee handbooks, guides and benefits. It also includes introducing them to the rest of the team, and getting them set up on any systems and software needed for them to do their job.
