A HRIS (Human Resources Information System) is software that centralises key HR functions and tasks. For example, a HRIS system will hold employee data and records, payroll, benefits, time tracking, absence and holiday, recruiting, onboarding and more.

Different HRIS software offer greater functionality and features in different areas, as well as solutions that are ‘all-in-one’ and therefore cover everything that an organisation should require in one system.
