Offboarding is process of ending an employee’s relationship with their employer, either due to termination, resignation or retirement. It includes ensuring that all assets and equipment are returned, knowledge is handed over and shared, final pay is calculated, and an exit interview can be conducted. Such processes help to bring out a smooth, compliant and positive ending for both the employee and the organisation.
